Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results will be
released Tuesday next week, Education Minister Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi has
revealed.
This year saw 844,475 candidates sit the exams, a higher number than
last year’s 811,930, in more than 24,000 examination centers
countrywide.
“The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) wishes to inform
parents and guardians, candidates, stakeholders and the general public
that the 2013 KCPE examination results will be released on Tuesday 31
December 2013,” said a notice carried in the dailies on Monday.
Prof. Kaimenyi will preside over the release for the first time since
his appointment into the Cabinet. The occasion will be held at KNEC’s
Mitihani House in Nairobi and will be the first school results under the
Jubilee government.
Candidates and their parents and/or guardians will also be able to access results through mobile phones via SMS code 6062.
“The SMS will only be charged upon receipt of the examination
results. Therefore, subscribers are advised to send one SMS and wait for
the results before sending another one,” requested KNEC.
